“Because it gives me the opportunity to be more me“
WHO: Artist, Teacher, Writer
ROLE: Tanguera Leader & Follower
DANCING SINCE: 2008
Tango came to my life truly by chance..!
I was into dance for many years, especially in ballet and contemporary and Greek folk dancing, but it wasn’t the dance that got me, it was the country..!
I always wanted to visit Argentina, and so when I saw that Argentine Tango classes were being offered at my dance school, I signed up to get a little bit closer to the culture of that country..! And that was it!
from the very first class I new it would become a passion of mine!
And I was very lucky because my first teacher Panagiotis- Ermis Karaboulas was an exceptional teacher and many of the most well known teachers visit Greece annually so I got a chance to work with:
Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes, Sebastian Achaval and Roxana Suarez, Los Hermanos Macana, Pablo Veron, Milena Plebs, Raul Bravo, Geraldine Rojas and Ezequiel Paludi, Damian Rosenthal, Celine Ruiz, Monica Parra, Metin Yazir, and more.
But also later on, in Canada with DNI tango, Noelia Hurtado and Carlitos Espinoza, Horacio Godoy and many more..!
When I started teaching, I started to understand Tango at a different level though..!
It wasn’t only the wish to share my love for this dance, or to teach people interesting steps, good technique and connection.
It was about giving people the opportunity to love dance!
To love creating something beautiful first within their bodies and then with another human being..!
That is why I am always practising and taking workshops, not to become the best but to have the opportunity of getting better every day! to feel inspired and able to inspire more and more people!
