THE COMPETITION

The competition ran from 01 April 2014 to 31 December 2014. Three images from any category were selected as finalists each month. There was 1 winner for the title: Tangofolly SHOOT! ‘Spirit of Tango’ Photo of the Year. Winners were announced in January 2015. This was a test of skill. There was no element of chance.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Images were considered for their overall emotion, creativity, skill, and originality by our professional photographers who, in their own creative genre’s, face many of the challenges we face photographing tango.

SHOOTING CATEGORIES

Each category aims to challenge us with each of the various photographic genres that can be found in ‘the world of tango’. The ‘Spirit of Tango’ award winning photos encompass more than one of these elements and portray a symbolic reflection of all that Argentine Tango is.
