FREE LEG MOVEMENT IN FRONT AND BACK OCHOS All levels, basic technique, both roles Liberating the so-called free leg allows us to draw beautiful lines on the floor, but also helps create circular dynamics in a much more fluent, effortless way. This class will make you work on your front and back ocho technique by concentrating specifically on the workings of the free leg, including some lovely simple embellishments for leaders and followers. This workshop will also prepare you for the one on voleos.
The workshop will include: – Warming up exercises for the legs, the core and balance, to feel what it means to have one leg completely free – Technique exercises for front ochos, working on large steps, pivoting and simple embellishments – Technique exercises for back ochos, working on balance, large steps, easy pivoting and maintaining the right posture – Exercising for leading front and back ochos without disturbing the partner’s axis and giving the follower time and space for larger free leg movements.
