Helsinki based Argentine tango association Amigos del Tango organizes the 5th Tango Frostbite Festival on February 19-22, 2015.
Our idea is to bring Argentine maestros to Helsinki whom we consider to be on the very top of the tango world. Every single Frostbite maestro couple’s dancing characterizes a different style of tango: Javier Rodriguez & Noelia Barsi represent Tango Salon, Horacio Godoy & Magdalena Gutierrez Tango Milonguero/ Villa Urquiza and Pablo Rodriguez & Corina Herrera Nuevo Tango Salon. With these mesmerizing artists you’ll learn to spice up your dance with different styles.
Beginners’ courses are held by festival hosts and local maestros: Hernán Ohaco and Kaisa Saarinen.
In addition to the workshops, come and dance till you drop in
– 3 day milongas (Fri, Sa, Su),
– 4 evening milongas (Thu, Fri, Sa, Su) and in
– 3 milonga after-parties (Fri, Sa, Su).
