Neolonga Europa returns! With a free, all levels lesson before to help you find the neo style in you and get you in the mood for the main event.
Your DJs for the night – Steve Donkin, and Lorenzo
Neo means new. New ideas, break free and express yourself. If you like Alt Tango then you will love this. x
Committed to great music and a relaxed atmosphere for your dancing, in the style of the best continental neo tango. We have music, projections, lights and an excellent and much loved venue.
The lesson before is free. It’s focussed on musicality and fluidity for your steps. We’ll also mention the etiquette you need for the neolonga.
Tea, coffee and nibbles provided. BYOB if you fancy something a little stronger.
What is a NeoLonga?
The creative and modern approach to tango. Relaxed, free of rules, with an inclusive feel. The DJs play eclectic world music and tango nuevo chosen for its feel and suitability for tango. DJing is active and responds to the dancers – no preselected tandas here, not even tandas. Lights and projections are a big part of the atmosphere. Also known as Alternative Tango, and close cousin to Tango Nuevo. Want to break free? – neo tango is for you.
Music will be 10% nuevo, 90% alt music suitable for tango – as played at the premier European events.
