The festival was planned as a means of meeting between different communities of tango and their teachers, with the main purpose of exchanging and sharing what we love: tango.
The goal is to know more about each others, learn together, have fun and unify communities from different countries.
As tango artists, we have a wonderful opportunity to meet people throughout the world and bond with them, we are fortunate to have students become friends and many times we would like to find more opportunities to see them again. Among milongueros, it’s
the same thing.. We have created a festival on the beach because it’s the perfect excuse to gather our tango friends, teachers, musicians, singers and students in a relaxed way, with the best vibe that paradise can offer.
We chose Cancun, not only for its excellent tourism accessible to all budgets, nor solelyfor its central location, beautiful beaches and the charm of its people, but also because it is a place full of positive energy where the Mayans predicted the beginning of a new
world last year; an imminent change will be present.
In TANGO MAYA FEST, we unite because we believe in the urgent need to eliminate the bad politics that often arise in the tango community. We want to rediscover the integration, fun, motivation, authenticity and affection, creating new tango experiences to remind us why we tango.
