A guide to promos

Limitations

The number of promos live at any time is monitored to make sure you are not sharing impression potential with too many others.

Selection

Promos are selected and displayed randomly (computer generated) per hit, per user and per location to ensure you receive the fairest number of impression opportunities. Therefore, if you don’t immediately see your promotion, refresh your browser to trigger the random selection request again until your promo appears.

Frequency

Impression frequency varies depending on the number of promotions active at the time of selection and the number of user generated requests (traffic).

Click-through

How many times your promotion is actually ‘clicked’ on depends on many variables beyond our control: the popularity of your content, audience preferences, timing, social trends etc.

Receipts

All payments are made securely via Paypal. You will recieve a receipt from Paypal and a confirmation email from Tangofolly when your promo goes live.

Cancellations

You can cancel your promotion at any time during the promotional period if you want to remove your promo from display on tangofolly.com. Any social media shares and emailed mailshots cannot be cancelled. Here is how to cancel your live promo:
1. Navigate to your promo via My Orders
2. Select ‘CANCEL’ in your editor menu

Refunds

Due to the nature of online advertising, once your promotion has begun, refunds are not possible. Refer to our terms for more information. Exceptions may apply. To request a refund please email tango@tangofolly.com in the first instance.

Edits

Titles and slugs cannot be changed to prevent external link breakages. Mailshots cannot be changed once they are sent. However, you can change your promo’s banner image and other details anytime while the promo is live by editing your promoted story or event post:
1. Navigate to your promoted post
2. Select ‘EDIT’ in your editor menu
3. Make your changes and save.

Relist

You can relist as many times as you like:
1. Navigate to your event or story post
2. Click ‘PROMOTE’ in your editor menu
3. Choose a package and make payment.

Conflict of interest

Promotions that conflict with Tangofolly’s ethos and aims will not be approved. Refer to our terms for more information.
