THE SHOOT 2014
The competition ran from 01 April 2014 to 31 December 2014. Three images from any category were selected as finalists each month. This was a test of skill. There was no element of chance.
Images were considered for their overall emotion, creativity, skill, and originality by our judges who, in their own creative genre’s, face many of the challenges we face photographing tango. Each category aims to challenge us with each of the various photographic genres that can be found in ‘the world of tango’. The ‘Spirit of Tango’ award winning photos encompass more than one of these elements and portray a symbolic reflection of all that Argentine Tango is.Meet the judges:
There was 1 winner for the title: Tangofolly SHOOT! ‘Spirit of Tango’ Photo of the Year. Winners were announced in January 2015. The award winner received a £100 gift voucher to the photography store of his/her choice. the People’s Choice. Categories included: TANGO IN MOTION: Movement. The human form. COMIC BOOK: Find the ‘fun’! PORTRAIT OF A TANGUERO: A study of humanity. MILONGA LANDSCAPE: The story of Milonga.
Entrants may submit up to 4 images in total, one image per entry and must adhere to the competition image entry requirements. Read the full Shoot Terms of Entry.
