We met with Facundo and Paola, participating judges at the UK Tango Festival & Championships coming up in June this year. We asked them the ‘Tangofolly Question’..

How did tango find you?
PAOLA: I grew up listening to tango music and watching my grandparents dance. Tango found me 10 years ago when I discovered a municipal workshop (in Trelew – Chubut). I went to the workshop and never looked back.

FACUNDO: I always wanted to learn.. I tried it once, but then, never again. Actually, I started properly because of Pao. One day she invited me to a class and my passion for tango exploded. I was dancing or playing the music 24hrs a day. I haven’t stopped.
