We caught up with Nicolas Wan Park, esteemed Tango DJ and one of the movers and shakers at the UK Tango Festival and Dance World Cup Championship Preliminaries in London this year in June. Nicolas will be turning the decks at the opening night on Friday 05 June 2015.

Here’s what Nicolas said:

How did tango find you in your life?
My very first contact with tango was the show Tango x 2 (with M-A.Zotto and M.Plebs) and it deeply touched me for a long time. A few years later, a friend and I had the opportunity to start with a very good teacher. Since that first class, I got tango feverishly in my skin !

Why do you love DJ’ing for Tango?
It’s an amazing feeling to see people dancing to your music and appreciating it.

What is your DJ style?
Energetic and various !!

Are you looking forward to the festival?
Of course, i’m looking forward to it, as I don’t know the people, nor the festival. It’s each time a challenge when you get to a new place and I love challenges…
