The day of the championship final came swiftly, filling Edward Lumley Hall with the sounds of bated breath, the scuffle of unconscious activity, if only to fill the gulf time encompassed between the ‘now’ and ‘then’, anticipation… who would shine today of all days? …and therein, who would take the prize in the end.
At last the ceremony began. What lay ahead was to be realised, witnessed and written down in the story book of The UK Tango Festival & Dance World Cup Preliminaries 2015.
SALON TANGO FINAL

The last milonga of the 3-day festival began, orchestrated by DJ Damian Boggio, on vinyl records, no less. Celebrations quickly turned to earnest last dances. Throughout the evening there were performances by the competition judges, simultaneously and of these, onetime Dance World Cup Champions, Facundo de la Cruz & Paola Sanz. A demonstration of prowess, speed and skill.
The last tanda began to play. The old hall clock struck 12-midnight and as the last chord fell across the dancefloor, the UK Tango Festival 2015 came to an end.
