It was indeed a time for last tandas and farewells with friends old and new. The finale of the Frostbite Tango Festival went down like the last sip of a very, very nice glass of red. Relaxed and informal, all and sundry danced those last few tandas played out by the Tango DJ Horacio Godoy (Might I add… Damm that Tanguero knows exactly how to string a few tunes together! I was impressed.)Visiting friends, Lukas Balokas & Georgia Proiskou from Athens, Greece, delighted us with an outstanding tango performance full of energy, prowess and cheeky fun.
Finally, amidst round up speeches and acknowledgements, the festival maestros, hosts and performers took to the floor for one last, fun and informal dance. Reflective… Tango is for each and every one of us. In each and every way we are individually inspired to express it and tell its story. A pleasure to watch.
Alas… The DJ has shouted ‘Last Tandaaaa’.
This is… The End.
