Many stories to tell at the upcoming Karlsruhe Tango Festival, 6th-10th June 2019

Carlitos Espinoza and Noelia Hurtado are one of the most influential couples of the last decade. Their style has been paramount for a whole generation of tango dancers, especially on the continent. Having announced that this year’s tour is going to be their last one together, their appearance at the upcoming tango festival in Karlsruhe, 6th-10th June 2019, will be their last together in Germany, indeed in the German-speaking countries.
Carlitos and Noelia will not come alone. With 5 fantastic maestro couples, 3 of the most popular orchestras in the world, 7 top djs, a film premiere and a wonderful location, the Karlsruhe Tango Festival is one of Europe’s finest festivals.
The festival features three of the finest tango orchestas: Romantica Milonguera, the most popular orchestra of our times, the tango star Javier Ciriaco and his Sexteto Milonguero as well as the Russian bandoneon virtouso Ivan Talanin and his Tango en Vivo. Five tango couples are part of the festival: the already mentioned legends Carlitos and Noelia, the world champions German Ballejo and Magdalena Gutierrez, the creative Alejandro Larenas and Marisol Morales, the elegant and beautiful Leandro Palou and Maria Tsiatsiani and the world champion Dante Sanchez and his wonderful partner Indira Hayies.
A film premiere will take place at the festival. The Hungarian film maker Eszter Nordin followed Javier Di Ciriaco and his Sexteto Milonguero on their tours. She witnessed the hardship and the joy of it. After two years of hard work her film “Joyride” will be presented to the public at the Karlsruhe Tango Festival.
Finally, 7 international djs will make sure that you can dance the afternoons and nights away.
