Orquesta Romantica Milonguera have generously supported Tango Shelter 2018 by supplying the orchestral music for their version of “Invierno” which was made famous by Francisco Canaro and sung by Roberto Maida.

And equally generously La Bella Diva opera singer and tanguera Carlotta Missiroli has agreed to “cross over” to sing the lyrics to the music supplied by Romantica. Carlotta will sing in both the original Spanish and also the world premiere of “Winter” my (Warren Edwardes) interpretation of “Invierno” in English.

Carlos Di Sarli said in 1947 “I have thought that tango would have already spread around the world even more if all the audiences would have been able to understand the meaning of its lyrics completely.”
